Our client, a global organisation, urgently require an experienced Legal & Contracts Officer to join their team on a permanent basis.
In order to be successful, you will have the following experience:
- Extensive background within commercial legal and contracts departments
- Legal degree or equivalent experience
- Excellent stakeholder management experience
- Experience gained within Defence or Government sector
- Able to obtain SC Clearance (candidates with active SC will be prioritised)
Within this role, you will be responsible for:
- As the Legal & Contracts (L&C) Officer, you will help the company navigate and manage commercial risks through our contracts
- Provide clear and timely legal guidance and advice to our sales, projects, and functional managers, and handle agreements with service suppliers
- Ensure the company is compliant with national laws and Leonardo directives, keeping an eye out for any changes so we can update our policies and procedures as needed
- Provide legal advice and manage contracts
- Identify and mitigate contractual risks
- Ensure adherence to legal requirements and directives
- Negotiate contracts and resolve disputes
- Manage terms for new business proposals
- Maintain contract records
- Maintain client and supplier relationships
