  • Role purpose / summary

Lead the end-to-end infrastructure architecture workstream, ensuring the design and delivery of secure, resilient, scalable, and operationally supportable infrastructure solutions.

The role provides architectural leadership across infrastructure, network, cyber security, and monitoring domains while aligning solutions to business and technology objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the infrastructure architecture roadmap and target-state designs.
  • Lead architecture activities across compute, storage, cloud, network, workplace, and platform services.
  • Provide oversight and governance for Cyber Security, Network, and Monitoring workstreams.
  • Ensure solutions meet security, resilience, operational, and compliance requirements.
  • Define infrastructure standards, patterns, and best practices.
  • Work closely with delivery, engineering, security, and client stakeholders to drive architectural decisions.
  • Review and approve high-level and low-level solution designs.
  • Support risk identification, mitigation planning, and technical assurance activities.
  • Provide leadership to architects and technical SMEs across the programme.
  • Required Skills & Experience
  • Strong infrastructure architecture experience across enterprise environments.
  • Broad knowledge of cloud platforms, data centres, networking, and infrastructure operations.
  • Experience of cyber security principles including Zero Trust, identity, segmentation, and infrastructure security.
  • Understanding of monitoring, observability, event management, and operational tooling.
  • Experience leading multi-disciplinary technical teams and complex transformation programmes.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into pragmatic technical solutions.
