We are currently recruiting a number of Field Support Engineers / Field Technicians to support a nationwide technology deployment and support programme across the UK. This is an excellent opportunity for engineers with experience in Field Support, EPOS, Desktop Support, Hardware Deployment, Telecoms, Break/Fix Services, or Onsite IT Support who enjoy working independently, travelling between customer locations, and delivering high levels of service.
The Role
- Working within your allocated region, you will visit retail stores to carry out planned technology health checks and complete straightforward remediation activities where required.
- You will follow a structured checklist, assess installed equipment, replace hardware where instructed, and escalate any complex technical issues to the dedicated support team.
- The role typically involves visiting approximately three stores per day and offers a great opportunity to work on a large-scale national project.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct scheduled visits to retail stores within your designated region
- Perform basic hardware, equipment, and connectivity checks
- Verify installed routers and associated networking equipment
- Check body-worn camera devices, charging docks, and batteries
- Replace faulty equipment where required
- Fit protective accessories and carry out hardware swaps
- Record asset information, serial numbers, and site data accurately
- Collect and return surplus or replaced equipment
- Complete digital reports and service documentation
- Escalate technical issues that fall outside of documented processes
- Maintain a professional and customer-focused approach when interacting with store staff

- Strong communication and reporting skills
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- A full UK driving licence
- Willingness to travel throughout your assigned region
