Job Description
About the Role
This is a senior-level position within a fast-paced enterprise environment focused on modernising infrastructure and maintaining high standards of security and compliance. You’ll play a key role in designing, implementing, and supporting cloud-native solutions, while mentoring others and driving best practices across the team.
Key Responsibilities
· Lead the deployment and management of Kubernetes clusters, covering architecture, networking, CI/CD, storage, and security.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deliver robust cloud infrastructure solutions.
· Administer and support Databricks environments, including access control, storage configuration, and networking.
· Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues using observability tools and root-cause analysis.
· Automate infrastructure provisioning and maintenance using Infrastructure as Code tools.
· Support system installations, configuration changes, and user access management.
· Enhance system monitoring and reporting in partnership with support teams.
· Work across Agile and Waterfall delivery models to meet project goals.
· Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of learning and growth.
Required Skills & Experience
· Strong expertise in AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda) and/or Azure.
· Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, ARM, BICEP).
· Proficiency in containerisation and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes/EKS).
· Skilled in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, PowerShell, or TypeScript.
· Solid understanding of Linux, Windows, and storage systems.
· Experience with monitoring and observability tools (Datadog, CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, Coralogix).
· Familiarity with DevOps and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles.
· Knowledge of networking and cloud security best practices.
· Experience with Databricks is a plus.
· Excellent problem-solving and stakeholder communication skills.
