We are seeking an experienced Oracle DBA to support and deliver database administration and upgrade activities across Oracle Database, Oracle SOA Suite, and Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) 12.2.x environments. The role involves working across both production and non-production systems, to upgrade/remediate, applying patches, etc., ensuring stability, performance, and successful upgrade execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver end-to-end upgrade activities across Oracle Database, EBS, and SOA environments
- Perform database upgrades and patching
- Support and upgrade Oracle E-Business Suite
- Upgrade and manage Oracle SOA Suite and WebLogic Server (WLS)
- Upgrade Oracle ASM (Automatic Storage Management) environments and Oracle IDCS cloud services/EBS Assertor for authentication
- Execute cloning, migration, and environment refresh activities
- Raise and manage Oracle Support Service Requests (SRs) and coordinate with Oracle Support for issue resolution
- Work closely with infrastructure, application, and release teams for deployment and cutover activities
- Troubleshoot issues and perform root cause analysis
- Ensure adherence to change and release management processes
- Ensure compliance with security and governance standards
Mandatory Skills:
- Hands-on experience with Oracle E-Business Suite 12.2.8 (EBS) upgrades/remediation engagements
- Strong hands-on experience with Oracle Database Administration (19c) including patching, upgrades, TDE/Grid infrastructure and data guard
- Experience with Oracle ASM (Automatic Storage Management)
- Hands-on experience in end-to-end upgrade activities across non-production and production environments
- Strong experience with patching, cloning, and migration strategies
- Experience in Linux/Unix environments
- Experience in performance tuning and troubleshooting across DB and middleware layers
- Experience in raising and managing Oracle Support Service Requests (SRs) and coordinating with Oracle Support
- Ability to work in controlled / secure environments with strict governance
- Understanding of backup & recovery (RMAN)
Nice to have skills:
- Solid understanding of backup & recovery (RMAN) and high availability in AWS platforms is preferred
- Exposure & knowledge in Oracle SOA Suite, Oracle WebLogic Server (WLS) administration and upgrades is desirable
- Exposure to Oracle IDCS cloud services/EBS assertor for authentication is preferred
- Familiarity with change, release, and incident management processes (ITIL)
