Role purpose / summary
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Business Community Engagement Manager to lead and strengthen engagement with internal and external business communities across Corporate Data Services. This role is pivotal in fostering collaboration, driving awareness of data initiatives, and building trusted relationships with stakeholders across Glasgow and beyond.
You will be responsible for designing and executing engagement strategies that align with data transformation goals, ensuring that community feedback informs programme delivery and that stakeholders are kept informed and involved. This is a high-impact role requiring excellent communication, stakeholder management, and programme coordination skills.
Key Accountabilities
* Develop and implement a comprehensive business community engagement strategy for Corporate Data Services.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, external partners, and local business networks.
* Organise and lead engagement forums, workshops, and events to promote data initiatives and gather feedback.
* Collaborate with programme leads to ensure community insights are integrated into delivery plans.
* Act as a liaison between Corporate Data Services and the wider organisation to ensure alignment and visibility.
* Prepare communications, reports, and presentations for senior stakeholders and community partners.
* Monitor engagement effectiveness and continuously improve based on feedback and outcomes.
Key Skills & Experience
* Proven experience in stakeholder engagement, communications, or community management within a corporate or financial services environment.
* Strong understanding of data-driven transformation programmes and their impact on business operations.
* Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence and engage diverse audiences.
* Strong organisational and project management capabilities, with experience coordinating cross-functional initiatives.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and collaboration tools (e.g., Teams, SharePoint).
* Experience working in a hybrid or multi-location environment, with the ability to build rapport virtually.
* Knowledge of Glasgow\’s business ecosystem and community networks is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
* Degree in Business, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
* Experience in Corporate Banking or Data Services is desirable.
* Familiarity with internal governance and programme delivery frameworks.
