My client are hiring for an Analytics Engineer to lead the design and build of front-end analytics using Microsoft Fabric and Power BI. Turning business questions into performant dashboards and reusable semantic models that scale across the organisation. This role will be Inside IR35, and so candidates from ONLY the Central Belt of Scotland will be considered.

Responsibilities:

  • Own the delivery of Power BI dashboards and reports from requirements to release.
  • Build certified datasets and semantic models that standardise metrics and reduce duplication.
  • Apply DAX/Power Query, optimise performance and manage deployment across environments.
  • Follow company standards for governance, documentation and secure data use.

What our client are looking for:

  • Strong Power BI and DAX, with proven semantic-model design skills.
  • Confident DQL/T-SQL; experience with Fabric datasets/dataflows Gen2.
  • Nice to have: Exposure to Python/PySpark, Azure Data Factory/Synapse and data catalogues (purview/Datahub).
