We are looking for a professional, reliable and people-focused Security Officer to join a secure site environment. You will play an important part in protecting people, property and the wider site, ensuring procedures are followed and any issues are handled calmly and effectively. Previous security experience is beneficial, but not essential. Full training and support can be provided for someone who is motivated, professional and keen to develop within the security industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor site access and support the safe movement of staff, visitors and contractors
- Carry out internal and external security patrols
- Monitor alarms, CCTV and other security systems where required
- Issue visitor and contractor passes in line with site procedures
- Support with key management, locking and unlocking duties
- Maintain accurate security logs, reports and handover notes
- Respond to incidents, hazards, faults and emergency situations
- Provide clear guidance and support to staff and visitors
- Help maintain a safe, secure and professional site environment
- Deliver a high standard of customer service at all times
Candidate Requirements
- Professional, reliable and well-presented
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Customer-focused with a calm and polite approach
- Able to follow procedures and work responsibly
- Good attention to detail and strong awareness of surroundings
- Comfortable working shifts, including days, nights and weekends
- Full UK driving licence
- Right to work in the UK
- Minimum 5-year checkable history
- An SIA Licence would be beneficial, but training and ongoing support can be provided.
