Duration: 6 months initially (3-5 year programme)

Location: Remote with 1-2 days onsite in Warwick/Perth per month

Rate: £635 per day via umbrella

Scope Of Services/Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate delivery of architectural outputs of the SSE/NGSI JV architecture practice to ensure the JV architecture team are aligned to the required standards and deliverables required for the JV to meet the required outcomes.
  • Provide solution and enterprise level architectural guidance, direction, and assurance for the SSE/NGSI JV digital estate.
  • Act as the independent procedural Chair and Facilitator of the Architectural Design Authority (ADA) preparing agendas and ensuring submission readiness, facilitates sessions and documents decisions and actions.
  • Deliver outcomes that comply with JV partner IT governance policies and satisfy formal sign-off requirements, unless an exception is granted in writing from the JV partner's lead Architects.
  • Provide input into the NGSI Architecture function to advise on the SSE/NGSI JV architecture context.
  • Provide support and input into cross-JV deliverables where necessary as requested by NGSI Product Line Director and/or NGSI Lead Architect.
  • Continuous alignment with both JV partner's standards and practices to ensure adherence to governance.
  • Seek formal sign-off from the JV partners Lead Architects and NGSI Product Line Director for all architectural deliverables.
  • Coordinate delivery of architectural outputs by the offshore architecture team against a work allocation plan aligned with JV delivery needs and in line with the agreed JV RACI.
  • Provide assurance that technical deliverables adhere to all agreed standards and delivery & governance frameworks.
  • Identify technical and architectural non-compliance to agreed governance standards and report progress.
  • Embedding consistent quality and best practices across teams.
  • Coordinate architecture activities across multiple projects or workstreams within the NGSI/SSE JV.
  • Provide hands-on architectural leadership for JV digital estates and solution designs.
  • Produce high-quality architecture deliverables including blueprints, assessment reports, decision logs, and roadmaps.
  • Provide assurance of alignment of all artefacts to agreed standards.
  • Participate in Governance forums as per the JV and JV partners terms of reference.
  • Input into workshops to provide expert architectural guidance.
