Day Rate: Competitive (Outside IR35 preferred – negotiable depending on experience)

Overview: We are seeking an experienced Physical Security Manager to join a high‑profile organisation in Bristol on a contract basis. This role will be pivotal in ensuring the protection of people, assets, and infrastructure, supporting critical operations and maintaining best‑in‑class security standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage all aspects of physical security operations across the site
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve security policies and procedures
  • Conduct risk assessments and threat analysis to identify vulnerabilities
  • Oversee access control systems, CCTV, guarding, and incident response processes
  • Manage third‑party security vendors and contractors, ensuring SLA compliance
  • Coordinate and lead incident investigations and reporting
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure aligned security strategies
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards
  • Support business continuity and crisis management planning

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience in a Physical Security Manager / Security Lead role
  • Strong background in corporate, critical infrastructure, or high‑security environments
  • Experience managing security technologies (CCTV, access control, alarms)
  • Knowledge of risk management frameworks and security best practices
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Experience managing security suppliers and contracts
  • Relevant certifications (CPP, PSP or equivalent)
  • Experience working in regulated or sensitive environments
  • Familiarity with ISO standards such as ISO 27001 or ISO 22301
  • Crisis management or incident response leadership experience
