We're looking for an experienced Infrastructure Specialist to support and enhance a Cloud Data Platform within a managed services environment. You'll play a key role in ensuring platform stability, performance, and continuous improvement, working across service management processes and technical delivery. This is a remote role with ad hoc travel to London, for 12 months, at Β£450-490 per day (Umbrella only).
This role suits someone who is comfortable operating at the intersection of infrastructure, cloud platforms, and IT service management, and who enjoys driving reliability and operational excellence.
Responsibilities- Manage and maintain asset and configuration management processes to ensure accurate and up-to-date infrastructure records
- Support availability and capacity management, ensuring the platform meets agreed service levels
- Lead and contribute to change management, ensuring changes are controlled, tested, and documented
- Provide hands-on coding and scripting to support automation, monitoring, and operational improvements
- Drive continual service improvement, identifying opportunities to enhance platform stability, performance, and efficiency
- Respond to and manage incidents, ensuring timely resolution and clear communication
- Investigate and resolve problems, performing root cause analysis and implementing long-term fixes
- Apply service management frameworks (e.g. ITIL) to maintain best-practice service delivery
- Support and execute testing activities related to infrastructure changes and releases
- Act as a technical SME, demonstrating strong technical understanding of cloud and infrastructure services
