Business Analyst – ERP Transformation

We are currently undertaking a major transformation programme to replace our legacy SAP system with a modern, best-of-breed ERP solution. As part of this exciting change, we are hiring our first dedicated Business Analyst to join our IT function and play a key role in driving business process excellence.
This is a high-impact opportunity to help shape the future of our operations, working across departments to support the design and delivery of scalable, efficient processes that align with strategic goals and ERP capabilities.
The Role
Reporting into the IT team, the Business Analyst will work closely with business stakeholders and technical partners to:
- Map and document current (\”as-is\”) business processes through workshops, interviews, and walkthroughs
- Identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement or innovation
- Collaboratively design future-state (\”to-be\”) processes aligned to operational needs and ERP capabilities
- Translate business requirements into clear, functional specifications to inform ERP system configuration
- Support testing, training, change impact analysis, and rollout activities
- Champion the development of structured process documentation and knowledge management practices
- Contribute to the development of a process library and promote best-practice business analysis
This is a hybrid role with broad exposure across the organisation, supporting teams such as finance, procurement, HR, and operations.
What We’re Looking For
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Business Analyst with:
- Proven track record in ERP transformation or complex change projects
- Strong business process mapping and modelling skills (Visio, Lucidchart, BPMN, or similar)
- Ability to translate complex business requirements into functional specifications
- Strong communication and facilitation skills across technical and non-technical audiences
- Experience working in cross-functional teams and managing stakeholder relationships
- Highly organised, collaborative, and able to work independently in a newly created role
Desirable Experience
- Familiarity with SAP or other ERP systems
- Experience in not-for-profit, public sector, or asset-based organisations
- Understanding of knowledge management and documentation frameworks
Working Arrangements
- Remote-first working model with occasional travel to hub offices in Leeds or Birmingham for collaboration
- Flexibility in travel expectations will be discussed at interview stage
Salary & Benefits
- Salary of up to ÂŁ50,000, depending on experience
- Double-matching contributory pension scheme (up to 10% employer contribution)
