My leading construction client is looking for a Interim Head of Corporate Responsibly you will be leading the work relating to the refresh of the Group’s Sustainability Strategy and oversee an important Framework by monitoring, implementing and measuring the impact of a comprehensive programme of initiatives that will ensure the business meets its commitments and targets. You will develop a co-ordinated sustainability plan and then drive the execution of this by collaborating with key groups across Finance, Design & Technical, Corporate Affairs & Communications, HR, Planning and Sales & Marketing.
You will regularly review the risks and opportunities facing the business across all sustainability areas and recommend changes to the Strategy and Framework, ensuring that we are proactive where there are business benefits. You must have a proven background to develop and lead the implementation of stakeholder engagement plans that will secure and leverage commitment and support for the business’ sustainability ambitions internally and externally.
You will contribute technical knowledge and expertise on sustainability issues such as corporate responsibility, benchmarks and indices, resource efficiency, social value, human rights, etc. Communicate with and educate the business on sustainability topics to secure and leverage senior level commitment and support for integrating sustainable development into core business processes and decision-making. Plus proactively lead on Sustainability insights gathering, including research and analytics, to inform the Group Strategy.
