Our client, a leader in defence and security, is hiring for a reputable organisation to support on a satellite network project. This is an exciting opportunity for a Network Engineer to work on a high-profile, fast-paced programme with national and international travel.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Responding to network faults and incidents, providing third-line support
- Managing installation, configuration, and testing of new system components
- Ensuring new services meet UK security standards
- Performing upgrades, enhancements, and managing obsolescence
- Supporting the design and security of military communication networks, including satellite systems
What You'll Bring:
- Experience in designing and delivering IP communication networks, ideally with Cisco accreditation (CCNP preferred)
- Knowledge of IP network architectures and serial communications
- Familiarity with RF Satellite communications technology (advantageous)
- Background in telecommunications or satellite communication environments
- Understanding of systems engineering lifecycle and processes
- Degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant engineering discipline
