📢 Contract Electronics Engineer – 6 to 12 Months | Edinburgh (Onsite, 1 day from home)

We’re seeking an experienced Electronics Engineer to support an exciting development project, taking designs from concept through to validated prototypes and production-ready documentation. This is a contract position with an estimated duration of 6–12 months, ideally starting within the next four weeks.

Key Responsibilities

• Interpret and deliver against design requirement documents provided by the Project Manager.
• Create detailed development schedules for electronic design and validation activities.
• Modify existing PCBAs and cable assemblies to meet new or updated design objectives.
• Release updated design documentation through Agile systems and coordinate prototype builds with external suppliers.
• Perform functional testing of PCBAs and cable assemblies to verify compliance with project requirements.
• Organise and support compliance testing, producing the required documentation for new product certification.
• Design and deliver test jig solutions to assist external PCBA suppliers with validation and test processes.
• Manage iterative design updates in response to evolving requirements throughout development.

This role would suit a hands‑on electronics engineer with a background in PCB design, testing, and product compliance who enjoys working across the full development lifecycle.
