A large, regulated financial services organisation is undertaking a multi‑year Salesforce transformation, positioning the platform as a core, long‑term strategic capability. As part of this programme, the business is building a Salesforce Centre of Excellence and bringing full technical ownership of the platform in‑house. They are now looking for a Salesforce Architect / Lead Salesforce Developer to take responsibility for the technical direction, scalability and long‑term architecture of Salesforce.

The Role

This is a senior role combining architecture, hands‑on technical leadership and platform ownership. You’ll work closely with product, engineering and senior business stakeholders to define the Salesforce roadmap and ensure the platform supports complex, regulated business processes.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Owning the Salesforce architecture across Financial Services Cloud and Marketing Cloud
  • Leading solution design and making key architectural decisions
  • Defining development standards, best practices and platform guardrails
  • Remaining hands‑on where needed with complex builds, Apex, LWC and integrations
  • Mentoring developers and supporting the growth of an in‑house Salesforce capability
  • Supporting the move away from third‑party delivery to internal ownership

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong experience in Salesforce architecture or senior Salesforce development roles
  • Deep technical expertise across Apex, Lightning Web Components, integrations and automation
  • Experience designing and scaling Salesforce solutions in complex or enterprise environments
  • Exposure to Financial Services Cloud and/or Marketing Cloud
  • Ability to operate at both strategic and hands‑on levels
  • Experience in regulated industries is desirable but not essential

What’s On Offer

  • Salary up to ÂŁ97,000
  • Glasgow‑based role with flexible / hybrid working
  • Private medical cover
  • Bonus and long‑term incentive schemes
  • Enhanced annual leave and flexible benefits

Why Join?

  • This role offers genuine platform ownership rather than project‑based delivery
  • Influence over long‑term architecture and technical strategy
  • The opportunity to build and shape an internal Salesforce engineering function
  • A stable, well‑funded environment with long‑term investment in Salesforce
