We’re looking for an experienced Architecture Lead to help shape the future of a large financial services organisation’s financial crime technology landscape. This is a senior role with the opportunity to influence strategy, drive technology decisions, and create a more connected approach across compliance, risk and operational processes.

You’ll be responsible for bringing together multiple systems, data sources and workflows into a more streamlined and effective ecosystem. The focus is on improving how teams manage customer onboarding, screening, monitoring, risk assessment and case management, while also helping to prepare the business for increased automation and AI adoption.

What you’ll be doing

  • Defining and owning the target architecture for a key business‑critical technology estate.
  • Designing scalable integration patterns, APIs and data flows.
  • Working closely with stakeholders across Technology, Risk, Compliance and Operations.
  • Reviewing existing platforms and identifying opportunities to simplify, enhance or modernise the landscape.
  • Helping shape the approach to AI, automation and advanced analytics.
  • Ensuring solutions are secure, resilient, auditable and fit for a regulated environment.
  • Creating roadmaps that balance immediate business needs with long‑term strategic goals.

What we’re looking for

  • Strong background in Enterprise, Solution or Domain Architecture.
  • Experience working within regulated environments such as financial services, banking, insurance or wealth management.
  • Good understanding of compliance, risk, customer lifecycle or financial crime‑related processes.
  • Strong knowledge of integration architecture, APIs, cloud technologies and data platforms.
  • Ability to engage with senior stakeholders and influence decision‑making.
  • Someone who can think strategically but is also comfortable getting into the detail when needed.
