We are seeking a skilled Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to design, build, and maintain a modern cloud environment, primarily within Microsoft Azure. This role plays a key part in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of cloud services while supporting ongoing digital transformation initiatives.
You will work across cloud infrastructure, Microsoft 365, and SaaS integrations, while also acting as a senior technical escalation point for complex cloud‑related issues.
Key Responsibilities- Design and implement scalable, secure cloud architectures in Microsoft Azure
- Manage and maintain cloud infrastructure, including compute, networking, storage, and security configurations
- Administer and optimise Microsoft 365 environments
- Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines for cloud‑based services
- Support integration of SaaS applications into the wider cloud ecosystem
- Monitor performance, optimise usage, and drive cost‑efficiency across cloud platforms
- Ensure adherence to security standards, best practices, and compliance requirements
- Provide advanced troubleshooting and serve as an escalation point for technical issues
- Document processes, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support application and infrastructure needs
- Proven experience in cloud engineering with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure
- Hands‑on experience designing and managing Azure environments
- Strong knowledge of cloud security principles and best practices
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps methodologies
- Background in Microsoft 365 administration and configuration
- Experience with cloud networking (including VNets, subnetting) and monitoring tools
- Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and effectively
- Experience supporting and resolving complex cloud incidents
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g. Terraform, ARM templates)
- Scripting and automation skills (e.g. PowerShell)
- Understanding of cost optimisation strategies in cloud environments
