Overview
We are recruiting an experienced Mobile Technician to join a major UK technology services provider, supporting multiple enterprise accounts and secure public sector projects across the Midlands. This is a fantastic role for someone who enjoys varied workloads, customer-facing support, and being out on the road each day. This is a 12-month contract running from January to December 2026, with strong potential for renewal based on project pipeline.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver support on-site across multiple customer locations
- Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues
- Carry out break-fix, device swaps, imaging, configuration, upgrades
- Support multi-site technical rollouts (e.g., secure device refreshes, payment system deployments)
- Liaise with project and service teams to meet SLAs
- Provide high-quality face-to-face customer service
- Travel throughout Central Birmingham and the wider Midlands region

- Telecoms & enterprise infrastructure environments

Requirements
Essential
- Full UK driving licence
- Experience in mobile/field-based technical support
- Confident with Windows troubleshooting, imaging & hardware repair
- Strong face-to-face communication and customer service skills
- Able to work independently across multiple daily site visits
- Data Centre Operations, troubleshooting
- Eligible for Security Clearance (SC)
Desirable
- Vendor certifications (Dell/HP/Lenovo)
- Break-fix or desktop engineering background
- Experience in secure or enterprise environments
- Project rollout experience

You must live within 20 miles of Central Birmingham to ensure effective coverage across the Midlands.
