An opportunity has arisen for a Project Manager to join a long term Defence delivery programme within the Scottish region, with Edinburgh preferred and Glasgow also suitable. This role suits an experienced Project Manager who wants to work on a multi year MOD programme and is comfortable travelling regularly to customer and delivery sites.
Responsibilities - Project Manager
- Work under the direction of Programme and Senior Project Managers to deliver assigned projects to agreed scope, cost, and schedule.
- Manage architects, installation design authority resources, and subcontractors to ensure delivery aligns with MOD standards.
- Confirm requirements with customers, attend site surveys and installations, and coordinate engineering resources.
- Own delivery plans, manage change requests, resolve snagging issues, and provide structured reporting throughout the lifecycle.
- Manage purchase orders, third party costs, hardware staging, secure delivery, and obtain completion sign off in line with forecasts.
Key Skills - Project Manager
- End to end project delivery experience across simple to complex projects.
- Strong capability in risk, scope, change, dependency, resource, schedule, and cost management.
- Experience delivering WAN or infrastructure projects in Defence environments.
- Commercial awareness with strong project financial management and forecasting skills.
- Proficiency with MS Project and formal reporting.
- Project management qualifications such as Prince2 or PMP.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- IOSH or equivalent H and S qualification desirable.
