Contract Position
Purpose
To create and deliver compelling spatial and experiential design concepts and translate them into executable, high-quality solutions for deployment in Global Travel Retail, Pop-up design and Visual Merchandising for the Oral Smokeless Category. The role bridges creative vision and technical execution, with deep knowledge and expertise in materiality, owning the journey from concept thinking to 3D design to supplierâready solutions.
Accountability
- Creativeâdoing: Able to drive the creative process handsâon in all phases, develop spatial and experiential design concepts from brief to execution. This includes the ability to selfâgenerate concept brainstorming, design concept sketches, scenarios & material mood boards, fast 3D visualisation and refined presentations of the design thinking and work. Ability to collaborate handsâon with suppliers and internal stakeholders to achieve the business needs.
- Creative strategic thinking: Able to design environments that balance brand storytelling, consumer journey, and commercial constraints aligned with business & brand strategy objectives. Delivering compelling creative solutions that fully answer the brief on all kinds of assigned projects.
- Drives design: Able to communicate design vision concept, refinement, and development of the global design DNA, guiding stakeholders through design with clarity and confidence. Protect design intent while remaining pragmatic about cost, timeline, and build constraints.
- Design finesse: Able to creatively push the boundaries of design projects with an eye for the latest standards & trends in materiality, spatial and experiential design; continuously improving the design and driving disruptive innovation.
Design Delivery
- Deliver designs that are ready for production and build, not just conceptual.
- Deliver final design files, technical specifications, deep knowledge in materials and finish to enable mockups/prototypes & colour target/samples for global commercial deployment.
- Direct development prototypes/mockups with lead supplier, ensuring design concept integrity.
Key Competencies & skills
- BA/BS and/or MA/MS in a relevant design field.
- Minimum 6+ years of relevant design experience (corporate /consultancy), with proven success cases in the market.
- Good understanding of manufacturing technologies and international design standards.
- Holistic design expertise and handsâon design across several design subject areas with a strong background in spatial and experiential design.
- Good communicator (verbal, written, and visual), strong storyteller with the ability to influence and build consensus.
- Collaboration mindset: Strong team player with ability to actively promote information sharing and leading by example.
- Excellent sense of form, materials, use of colour and breadth of creative expression with a passion for quality from concept to execution.
