Purpose of the role
The purpose of the role is to contribute to the development of a sound business strategic plan for PML UK & Ireland by providing quality analysis and insights on business performance. Provide Business Partnering to Stakeholders with high quality data driven advice on effective resource deployment, and provide the support required at a functional level including:

• Forecast volume scenarios for industry and PM with various business assumptions; and support in-depth competitive intelligence insights on nicotine products in the market
• Identify and propose business opportunities and challenges by providing timely and in-depth analysis
• Maintain and enhance tools/models for volume and profitability forecast/analysis
• Support during the preparation of corporate Strategy, Budget review & Business Updates presentation
• Support preparation of budget for the supported functions (volume/cost); collaborate with Financial Controlling for budget/volume inputs & cost controlling
• Explore business process improvement opportunities with relevant business partners to improve efficiency and effectiveness of the organization
• Act as a value-added advisor to Key Stakeholders on investment strategies that maximizes return on investments
• Prepare and submit official and ad-hoc reports required from PML/EU Region

Key Accountabilities
Volume/Revenue Projection and Analysis:

• Execute industry/ by company/ by brand volume analysis and forecast under different assumptions based on the forecasting models to provide base for business plans and support business decisions, for a certain product category or for the total nicotine market
• Support market / volume models enhancements that reflect the latest market trends
• Ensure alignment with Operations during the monthly volume cycles to be reflected in production to minimize out of stock or destruction exposure

Market and Competitor Analysis:

• Support analysis of competitor dynamics and its business implications to support business decisions.

Performance Reporting:

• Support Category / Leadership team around the weekly Performance Reporting by providing analysis and further insights to enable decision making.

Business Partnering:

• Advise Key Stakeholders on investment strategies that maximizes return on investments
• Provide support at function and category level to prepare their Budget and advise on investment strategy and Business Cases
• Support financial analysis of special projects, financial effectiveness of internal operations and product/profit performance.
• Interfacing between the business and Financial Controlling to ensure costs are properly managed and enhance cost controlling

Support the Manager Business Planning & the Senior Business Planning Analysts with the key accountabilities, mainly focusing on:

• Value adding Business Partnering advisory, investment appraisals and Category support
• Volume and revenue forecasting, and involvement in monthly volume cycles
• Supporting the development and building of various presentations either internally or to the Region
• Providing a proactive and collaborative interface between the business and Financial Controlling which ensures effective cost controlling

Key Requirements
The following capabilities are required for the role:

• Understanding of the business environment & commercials and ability to translate the market strategy into a business case / business planning model
• Ability to work with multiple sources of data in a dynamic environment, at ease with managing large excel models
• Ability to work in collaboration with key stakeholders & building relationships, excellent communication skills
• Degree in Finance, Economics or mathematical related subject; experience with data and analytics a plus
