PCB Designer – Altium Expert (Contract)

Location: Remote – UK

Contract Duration: 12 Months

About the Role

We\’re looking for an experienced PCB Designer to join our engineering team. You\’ll be working on complex RF and high-speed digital boards, collaborating closely with design engineers to deliver innovative solutions for mission-critical projects.

What You\’ll Do

  • PCB layout, component placement, and routing for RF and high-speed digital boards.
  • Electronic schematic capture and component library creation.
  • Design for manufacturability and testability.
  • Prepare manufacturing data and documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with Roke PCB CAD guidelines and IPC standards (up to Class 3).

What We\’re Looking For

  • 5+ years of PCB CAD design experience using Altium Designer.
  • Expertise in:
  • Multi-layer PCB design (through holes, blind vias, microvias).
  • RF and high-speed digital boards (including mmWave).
  • Balanced high-speed trace design (impedance, capacitance, spacing).
  • Power trace verification and copper distribution.
  • Strong knowledge of IPC standards: IPC-A-600, IPC-6012, IPC-A-610, IPC-2221.
  • Ability to support material selection and stack-up definition.
  • SC Clearance (or ability to obtain).
