We are seeking an experienced Identity & Access Management (IDAM) Engineer to provide L2/L3 support for a large-scale, highly customised Identity and Access Management environment. The successful candidate will possess extensive hands-on experience with Microsoft Identity Manager (MIM) and will be responsible for supporting, maintaining, troubleshooting, and enhancing critical identity management services across the organisation.
The environment contains significant customisation, bespoke workflows, rule extensions, and integrations with multiple identity platforms, requiring an engineer capable of performing deep technical analysis and resolving complex incidents.
The role will involve supporting integrations between Microsoft Identity Manager (MIM), Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, Okta, and BeyondTrust, ensuring the continued delivery of identity lifecycle management, provisioning, authentication, and access governance services. This is a senior L2/L3 support role requiring strong operational experience within complex enterprise IAM environments. This role operates within secure facilities in either Inverness or Manchester and requires participation in a on call 24x7 operational shift rota.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide L2/L3 operational support for a highly customised Microsoft Identity Manager (MIM) environment.
- Analyse, maintain, and troubleshoot complex MIM synchronisation, provisioning, and identity lifecycle management processes.
- Support and maintain MIM components including: Synchronisation Service, Metaverse Connector, Spaces, Management Agents, MIM Portal, Workflows, Provisioning and Deprovisioning Processes.
- Investigate and resolve identity provisioning, reconciliation, and authentication issues across connected systems.
- Support integrations between MIM, Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, Okta, BeyondTrust, and other enterprise applications.
- Perform root cause analysis for incidents, recurring issues, and service failures.
- Maintain and support custom MIM rule extensions, workflows, management agents, and automation components.
- Review and troubleshoot custom C# and .NET code supporting MIM functionality.
- Support Joiner, Mover, and Leaver processes and ensure accurate identity lifecycle management.
