Join our client in supporting mission-critical military systems within a secure, high-impact environment. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced 3rd Line Engineer with strong Functional Application Support (FAS) experience to work on secure systems and drive incident resolution.
Role Overview
- Support and manage incident resolution on live, secure military systems, with escalation support from remote Level 1/2 resources.
- Work closely with other Embedded engineers to troubleshoot and resolve issues across a range of functional applications used in military operations.
- Ensure technical fixes are delivered efficiently and in line with policies and procedures within a secure operational environment.
- Provide technical input to ongoing improvements and act as a subject matter expert in FAS applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Ownership of incident management and resolution for FAS-related incidents.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and Level 1/2 support teams to ensure effective issue triage and escalation handling.
- Review and support installation and integration of software packages.
- Maintain and enforce system configurations, including OS-level Firewall settings and security policies.
- Work as part of a tight-knit engineering team Embedded in a Military operational environment.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Demonstrable experience supporting FAS Applications, such as: NIRIS, ICCJ, ChatLOG, FAS, JOCWatch, TOPFAS.
- Hands-on experience reviewing documentation for software installation and integration.
- Operating System experience in: Windows Server 2012/2016, Windows 10, VMware, Solaris, Hyper-V, RedHat/Oracle Linux, PKI, SQL, PostgreSQL.
- Strong Scripting knowledge, particularly with PowerShell.
