Purpose of the Role
This role is pivotal in executing key projects within the capability agenda for our commercial FF organisation. Acting as a strategic partner to senior stakeholders, you will translate business priorities into a robust learning journey that closes skill gaps, drives behavioural change, and delivers measurable impact. You bring deep expertise in learning design and adult development principles, combined with strong coaching skills and the ability to influence at senior levels. You understand the 70-20-10 framework and apply it creatively to embed learning in the flow of work. You are passionate about building a high-performance culture and can demonstrate ROI through data-driven insights.
Key Accountabilities/Projects
- Field Force Acceleration Programme (Commercial) - Build & Execute
- Own the end-to-end delivery of the Field Force Acceleration Programme and translate business priorities into practical, field-ready learning interventions.
- Work closely with Field Leaders and Commercial Development Managers to ensure:
- Clear role expectations
- Consistent coaching standards
- Support preparation, delivery and follow-up of FF acceleration activity (including Starter to Expert capability support plan from May 2026)
- Aligned to Project DRIVE (long-term, consolidated approach and vision we are implementing within our sales team).
- Design and deliver manager upskilling interventions explicitly linked to project DRIVE and our new steps of a call process.
- Delivery across face-to-face and virtual channels.
- Strengthen:
- Call quality
- In-role coaching capability of our managers
- Consistent application of DRIVE in field activity
- Spend time in the field to ensure solutions are grounded in real commercial challenges and use insight from:
- Field observations
- Stakeholder/Field Coach feedback
- Capability gaps
- Performance data
- Provide targeted BAU support to protect delivery of key in-year capability priorities
- Work collaboratively with existing Commercial Capability Development Managers
- Maintain alignment to existing frameworks, standards and PMI governance
Key Requirements
- CIPD Level 5+ or degree equivalent with proven experience in L&D strategy, design, and delivery at scale.
- Commercial experience or background preferred.
- Advanced knowledge of instructional design principles and coaching methodologies.
- Expertise in end-to-end capability building for commercial and field organisations, preference for this to be functional (commercial/sales).
- Confident in engaging audiences large or small through facilitating learning content (face to face and online).
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills at senior levels.
- Demonstrated ability to link learning outcomes to business performance and ROI.
- Self-starter with strategic thinking and strong attention to detail.
