Role Title: Senior Azure Platform Engineer Location: Sheffield (3 days onsite) Rate: Inside IR35 £500.00 - £525.00 pd We're seeking a Senior Azure Platform Engineer to take ownership of a large-scale Azure platform supporting critical digital services. This is a hands‑on role for an experienced Azure specialist who thrives on automation, cloud governance, and solving complex infrastructure challenges. Key Responsibilities Own and maintain the Azure platform, ensuring security, stability, and compliance. Manage VM image build and release processes, including patching, testing, and deployment. Implement Azure Policy and governance controls, driving compliance across the estate. Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Bicep, Terraform, or ARM. Build enterprise‑grade PowerShell automation and tooling. Configure and troubleshoot Azure networking, including VNets, NSGs, DNS, private endpoints, load balancing, and routing. Lead the resolution of complex platform incidents across infrastructure, networking, and applications. Mentor engineers, provide technical leadership, and contribute to engineering best practices.
