Working as part of the onsite TechDeck team, you will provide hands‑on IT support to end users across the business, including VIPs, Executives and Senior Management. This is a customer-facing position where excellent communication, professionalism and the ability to build strong relationships are just as important as technical capability. You will be responsible for managing incidents, service requests and planned changes through to resolution, as well as providing Smart Hands support and day-to‑day deskside assistance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide onsite deskside and TechDeck support to users across the business
  • Manage fault calls, incidents and service requests through to successful resolution
  • Take ownership of more complex technical issues and manage cases end-to-end
  • Build and configure PCs and laptops, including Windows 11 operating system configuration
  • Support Microsoft Office 365 environments
  • Carry out Active Directory administration
  • Undertake basic hardware diagnostics and repairs
  • Provide Smart Hands support where required
  • Manage and maintain IT assets and associated records
  • Create and maintain clear technical and support documentation
  • Deliver a high-quality service to VIPs, Executives, Senior Management and their support teams
  • Support project activities where required
  • Provide AV support or develop capability in this area
  • Occasionally support offsite or out-of-hours activities where required

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Strong deskside / desktop support experience
  • Experience supporting Windows 11
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365
  • Experience with Active Directory administration
  • Experience using ServiceNow (S-NOW) or a similar ITSM platform
  • PC and laptop build/configuration experience
  • Asset management experience
  • Strong documentation skills
  • Excellent organisational and administrative abilities
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Confident troubleshooting and resolving technical issues independently
  • Ability to take ownership of incidents from initial contact through to resolution

Person Specification

  • Highly personable, professional and customer-focused
  • Confident communicating with stakeholders at all levels
  • Comfortable supporting VIP and Executive-level users
  • Able to represent both the customer and service provider to a consistently high standard
  • Proactive and able to take ownership of issues
  • Organised, dependable and detail-oriented
  • Comfortable working in a busy, fully onsite environment

Desirable

  • Previous experience providing AV support
  • Alternatively, a willingness and enthusiasm to develop AV support skills
