We are seeking an enthusiastic and professional Front of House Supervisor to join our vibrant Korean BBQ all-you-can-eat (AYCE) restaurant team. You’ll lead the front-of-house operation, deliver excellent guest service, and ensure smooth day-to-day running of the restaurant. This role includes opening and closing responsibilities, so reliability and attention to detail are essential.
Pay: Starting from ÂŁ12.50 per hour (negotiable depending on experience)
Hours: Minimum 30 hours per week
Location: Guildford
Duties & Responsibilities
- Open & close the restaurant (setup, end-of-day close-down, cashing up, securing premises)
- Greet guests warmly, manage waiting lists/reservations, and seat efficiently
- Run service and support the team during busy periods
- Explain the AYCE process, menu items, allergens, and house rules clearly to guests
- Take orders accurately and serve food/drinks in a timely manner
- Supervise and support FOH staff, giving clear direction and maintaining standards
- Handle guest enquiries, complaints, and feedback professionally
- Maintain cleanliness, organisation, and presentation across the FOH area
- Ensure compliance with health & safety and food safety practices
- Liaise closely with the kitchen to coordinate timing, replenishment, and guest requests
- Process payments accurately and manage cash handling
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant/hospitality environment (supervisory experience preferred)
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication and customer service
- Ability to stay calm and organised in a fast-paced, high-volume setting
- Knowledge of food safety / health & safety standards
- Confident handling opening/closing duties and cashing up
