This varied and exciting role is ideal for an individual aspiring to progress their career in partnership relations in Oxfordshire’s visitor economy. The role will support the delivery of the Experience Oxfordshire partnership scheme and venues finding service as well as assist in the delivery of a broad range of strategic tourism development projects and experiences.
Working closely with key stakeholders across the visitor economy sector, the role is to support the growth of the organisation’s partnership base and MICE (meetings, incentives, conferences, and events) business. Experience Oxfordshire is seeking a motivated person, looking to join a small team with big plans and be part of the organisation’s growth and development. The person must be customer-focused with excellent communication skills, well-organised with strong attention to detail, analytical, and have a willingness to learn new skills to help to grow the business.
The Partnership Assistant role will work closely with the marketing and partnership team and wider team to deliver a lucrative partnership strategy for Experience Oxfordshire that achieves the targets and sustainable growth of the partnership network through retention, acquisition, and income.
In addition, the role will facilitate Experience Oxfordshire run services including our venues finding service and our work on research and insights. Alongside supporting the onboarding of new partners, the post holder will administer Experience Oxfordshire’s partnership schemes, liaising with visitor economy businesses to ensure they gain the most from their partnership, are kept abreast of benefits, opportunities, and value their partnership.
Key Responsibilities:- Support the Marketing and Partnership management team in the delivery of sustainable growth of the partnership network through the development and delivery of an integrated partnership strategy.
- Work closely with all team members to maximise opportunities, acting as a point of contact on sales and partnership matters both internally for staff and externally for partners.
- Collaborate with the team to build and maintain relationships with partners providing support as required.
- Provide advice to individual organisations on the most appropriate ways to engage with Experience Oxfordshire to suit their needs and requirements, and ensure partners are maximising their partner benefits.
- Assist the Marketing and Partnership management team with partner renewals and retention as required.
- Increase participation in the Experience Oxfordshire partnership scheme, drive sales and support the delivery of product development initiatives.
- Support the growth of partnership income levels and relevant income generating opportunities.
- Pro-actively sell products to new and existing partners to achieve and exceed monthly and annual targets, maximising new business opportunities.
- Support the Marketing and Partnership management team in ensuring benefits offered and services delivered are fit for purpose and at the right level, reviewing these on a regular basis.
- Undertake partnership administration and develop and maintain a partnership database and Dynamics365 CRM system for all partners, stakeholders, and prospective partners, ensuring key communications and service records are kept up to date and available to all staff.
- Undertake desk research on lapsed and potential new partners.
- Monitor and report on partnership income.
- Oversee MICE enquiries, responding in a timely manner to RFPs to aid conversions.
- Support the delivery of research and insights projects.
- Work with the marketing team to ensure all partner activity is logged and provide partnership activity reports as directed.
- Work with partners to encourage affiliation sales of Oxford Official Walking Tours and an understanding of our venues finding service.
- Assist on the delivery of Experience Oxfordshire partnership events throughout the year and attend events as required.
- Represent Experience Oxfordshire at partner meetings, workshops, and webinars where appropriate.
- Continuously provide high levels of customer service and communication across our partnership and stakeholder network.
- Assist with the delivery of partnership projects and initiatives.
- Ensure accurate recording and collation of data to produce business and partner specific reports.
- Ensure all data is managed sensitively and in accordance with General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
- Perform all duties in line with Equal Opportunities policies in operation.
- Undertake any such duties commensurate with the post as may be required.
Communication Internally: CEO, Head of Marketing and Partnership Services and Marketing and Partnership Manager and wider Marketing and Partnership Team, Oxford Official Walking Tours, and Finance departments. Externally: Experience Oxfordshire partners, stakeholders, Local Authorities, and national agencies as appropriate.

It is the trading arm of the parent charity, Experience Oxfordshire Charitable Trust, and is a not-for-profit partnership organisation that is committed to the promotion, management, and development of Oxfordshire as a great destination to live, work, visit and do business.
The DMO seeks to improve growth and productivity across Oxfordshire’s visitor economy through the provision of essential business advice and support services to our partners.
