Driving Miss Daisy Didcot are looking for compassionate ‘Companion’ Drivers on a full-time basis. The role supports senior citizens and vulnerable people by bridging the gap between taxis, public transport and voluntary agencies, helping them stay independent and safe.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive in a caring and professional manner, engage clients and promote the service.
  • Provide professional and caring companionship services.
  • Manage time effectively, organise schedules and prioritise tasks.
  • Escalate concerns, issues or accidents as necessary.

Duties

  • Take clients to medical appointments or carry out prescription collections.
  • Assist with shopping trips and day out activities.
  • Offer companionship at home or out and about.
  • Transport children and young adults to or from school and activities, including those with Special Educational Needs.

Qualifications & Experience

It is vital that you have a background in care, experience caring for people (this could be your own family members), and/or a genuine passion for working with vulnerable people and providing person‑centric care.

Working Hours

Applicants must be available to work past 5pm and occasional weekends.
