A winter season with Skibound is like no other. With over 40 years’ experience in the industry, we offer a unique ski experience to budding skiers from all over the world with school and youth groups at the heart of our business. You will be based at one of our 3 lively club hotels across 3 resorts in the French Alps, home to some of Europe’s best skiing and après - Alpe d’Huez, Les Menuires and Serre Chevalier.
What will I be doing as a Ski Rep/Tech? This joint role effectively sees you as the fountain of knowledge for everything ski and activities within our club hotel ensuring everything runs smoothly for the guests. You are the happy charismatic face of Skibound and will ensure communication pre-departure and during the guest’s holiday is clear, organised and positive. Working with your team members you will be the fountain of knowledge on everything ski including managing ski equipment, fitting ski equipment, ordering lift passes, confirming ski school, arranging, and leading après-ski activities as key components. Your experience, training and research of ski equipment and the resort itself will allow you to respond to clients’ questions/problems promptly and accurately.
This is the only role with Skibound that previous experience and knowledge of skiing and ski equipment is essential. Each of our club hotels has its own Ski Equipment room packed full of skis, poles, boots, and helmets in different sizes. With school guests at the heart of our Skibound operation, you will be confident and responsible in fitting equipment safely and ensuring the excitable children fully understand your safety briefing. Over the winter season, our ski equipment gets a lot of use! It will be your responsibility to service and maintain all ski equipment, with our health and safety standards at the forefront of everything you do. You’ll also take pride in keeping the Ski Tech room tidy and organised. A high level of organisation and responsibility is required to fulfil your potential in this role.
You will also be integral in ensuring things are running smoothly behind the scenes including cash handling, completing stock and financial paperwork, accident forms and liaising with other departments including your Hotel Manager and resort ski schools. You will be key to ensuring the correct numbers are liaised between the hotel management, kitchen and transport… week in week out. You will not simply be hiding away in the ski room expect to be out front too leading and inspiring the kids through evening activities like disco, quiz, crepe making and talent show. The bigger the character the better!
Note that there are days when everyone needs to ‘muck in’ and help in other departments. If the manager needs to reassign you for a shift in another department, don’t be surprised. ‘Teamwork makes the dream work’… our favourite motto. What skills and experience will I need to be a Ski Rep/Tech?
- No formal childcare qualifications needed but previous experience working with children or young people is essential!
- Customer service and hospitality experience is a bonus!

- Responsible with strong organisational skills.
- Confident and charismatic… inspiring and leading our young clients.
- Previous knowledge and experience of fitting and maintaining ski equipment is essential.

The extra bits… We ask applicants to be fully available from mid-November 2026 to end of April 2027. You must be 18 or over to apply.
