A winter season with Skibound is like no other. With over 40 years’ experience in the industry, we offer a unique ski experience to budding skiers from all over the world with school and youth groups at the heart of our business. You will be based at one of our 3 lively club hotels across 3 resorts in the French Alps, home to some of Europe’s best skiing and après - Alpe d’Huez, Les Menuires and Serre Chevalier.
As an Assistant ClubHotel Manager, you will be second in command to the Hotel Manager and an integral part of our vibrant clubhotel team. Depending on the size of the clubhotel you are offered, you will normally work alongside a fellow Assistant Hotel Manager or Deputy manager. Customer experience will be at the heart of everything you do in order to maintain and exceed the high standards across the clubhotel. You will have eyes and ears across each department to identify where the team are excelling and in which areas improvements are needed. Your management experience will also aid you in spotting opportunities to maximise business potential and you will have a keen eye for detail accurately recording/reporting financial incomes and expenditure.
You’ll lead your team from the front and set an example on attitude and work ethic. Whilst some days you might lead a daily team meeting to motivate your team, other days you will be happy to get stuck in and help your team with the key duties across the clubhotel including housekeeping tasks, taking part in mealtime restaurant services and even pot washing and snow clearing! You will be approachable and fair, so your team will feel comfortable coming to you for support. Leading by example will assist you to ensure your staff work at maximum efficiency within available hours. Each day will vary slightly over the winter season so it is important to be flexible with the operational needs, but some of your key duties will range from creating staff rotas, liaising with HR and head office in the UK, reporting into your Hotel Manager and department checks to ensure standards are met.
We are looking for positive, can-do individuals who share our teamwork ethos. Previous management or team leader experience is essential – preferably in a hotel or hospitality setting. Knowledge of kitchen operations is a strong advantage. A strong customer service background is required. Responsible, reliable, and happy to take the lead. Hard working and not afraid to roll your sleeves up and get stuck in. Team motivator with the confidence to think on your feet and show initiative.
What can Skibound offer me as an Assistant ClubHotel Manager this winter? Competitive, seasonal salary paid in Euros. All staff will be on a French contract for winter 26/27. All meals – even on your days off! Uniform. Additional seasonnaire pack elements that you can opt in or out of: On-site shared accommodation (or an individual room based on your job role), ski equipment hire, insurance. You will also receive role specific training once in resort, role progression opportunities and the chance to return for future winter and summer seasons with Skibound, and further seasonal opportunities with our sister brands, Travelbound and JCA.
