Over the last 4 decades, more than 3000 schools across the UK have entrusted Experience Education to facilitate educational travel experiences for more than 1.5 million travellers, throughout 1000+ incredible destinations. Our specialist brands include TravelBound, SkiBound, World Challenge, JCA, Edwin Doran and MasterClass, and they operate across 5 unique travel categories: curriculum tours; ski trips; expeditions; UK activity centres and sports tours.
The role involves taking ownership of payroll, pensions and benefits across our UK workforce. This role is perfect for someone who is detail-driven, confident with numbers, and experienced in UK payroll processes. The position is part time, expected to be 3 days per week, but we can be flexible.
What you’ll be doing:
- Managing monthly UK payroll, ensuring accurate and complete inputs and compliance with HMRC (RTI, tax codes, statutory payments, P45/P60)
- Administering the company pension scheme as well as preparing and processing of monthly pension reports and arranging submission and liability payment
- Management of PAYE account with HMRC and ensuring all liabilities are reconciled and paid by relevant due dates
- Administering a range of employee benefits and schemes (medical, life assurance, wellbeing schemes, cycle to work, electric vehicle)
- Supporting salary benchmarking, pay reviews, and maintaining salary bands
- Producing payroll, benefits, and HR data reports for HR and Finance
- Ensuring full compliance with UK employment, payroll, and data protection legislation
- Management of ‘Employee of Records’ Payroll (EOR) for the Experience Education staff based in South Africa and India including EOR Benefits, commission
- End of year pay review process / Bonus review process / coordinating all letter writing
- Reviewing Deel platform and current UK Payroll process development and creating or recommending efficiencies
What we are looking for:
- Strong UK payroll experience, including HMRC submissions and statutory payments
- Experience handling pension uploads and auto-enrolment processes
- Excellent attention to detail and strong Excel skills
- Confident communicator who can support employees with payroll and benefits queries
- Experience with HRIS/payroll systems
- Experience in a multi-brand or multi-entity environment
- Salary benchmarking experience
