Why this role is important to us
Operational Risk is central to how we protect our business, our people, and our customers. You will sit within our Group Risk team and play a part in shaping the strategy and future direction of Operational Risk globally. You\’ll help embed risk practices, promote innovation, and ensure our frameworks are fit for purpose.
This role is a hybrid role based in Nottingham or London reporting into the Global Head of Operational Risk.
Work that matters – What you\’ll do
- Lead the development and evolution of our Operational Risk strategy and frameworks
- Oversee and maintain Group Operational Risk Policies and Standards (e.g., RCSA, Loss Events, Issues Management)
- Partner with global teams to embed risk practices and escalate concerns
- Promote innovation through the use of AI and new technologies to enhance risk reporting and insights
- Lead training and awareness programs to build risk capability across the organisation
- Collaborate with the Archer Centre of Excellence to enhance risk tooling and systems
- Produce high-quality executive-level risk reports and updates for senior leadership
- Ensure quality assurance and governance across all Operational Risk data
What you\’ll need to bring to the role & Experian
- Experience in Operational Risk within a second line of defence capacity
- Experience building, evolving, and operating industry-standard Risk Management Frameworks
- Communicational ability to simplify complex data
- A practical and balanced approach to applying technical risk knowledge

- A understanding of technology, systems, and the opportunities AI presents
