Job DescriptionExperian - Credit Services, Identity & Fraud are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to help us build and improve a mature, business-critical product. You'll work across the full stack in a collaborative, agile team, taking features from design through to delivery. Because our software handles sensitive customer data in a regulated environment, writing secure, high-quality code is central to how we work.
This is a Hybrid, Nottingham based role (40% in the office) reporting to the Director of EngineerWhat you'll be doingBuild new features and enhancements across an established .NET product, working full-stack from data layer to UI.Write clean, secure, maintainable and well-documented code, following our coding standards and secure-development practices.
Handle sensitive data responsibly, with security and data protection front of mind at every stage.
Improve performance and reliability through refactoring, database optimisation and sensible architectural changes.
Help triage, maintain and improve core parts of the existing application as our user base grows.
QualificationsEssentialSolid commercial experience with C#, .NET Framework and .NET Core development.
Experience with SQL and relational databases (SQL Server).Full-stack experience building web pages with ASP.NET Razor. A good understanding of web UI layout, including HTML and CSS.A track record of writing secure code and handling sensitive data appropriately.
Sound grasp of object-oriented programming principles and design patterns.
Comfortable owning tasks through to completion and collaborating within an agile team.
