Experian Software Solutions (ESS) are seeking a Lead Technical Product Manager to own and evolve the product onboarding and integration experience for the Ascend platform. This role focuses on the technical mechanics of onboarding—ensuring that integration points are accessible, scalable, and designed for reuse. You will define and drive a roadmap to create a frictionless, self-service onboarding experience for internal teams and external partners. You will influence and align multiple product and engineering teams.
This is a Hybrid, Nottingham or London based role (40% in the office) reporting to the Head of New Products Integration.
Key Responsibilities- Platform Onboarding & Integration Design: Define and evolve the end-to-end onboarding journey (discovery → integration → go-live), ensuring consistency, scalability, and reuse. Identify and unlock critical integration points required to onboard products efficiently onto the platform. Establish standardised integration patterns, reference architectures, and onboarding playbooks.
- Technical Product Ownership: Own the roadmap for onboarding tooling and developer experience, including documentation, sandbox environments, and self-service capabilities. Partner with Architecture and Engineering to ensure onboarding aligns with platform standards (API-first, microservices, event-driven design).
- Cross-Functional Delivery & Influence: Lead delivery through influence rather than direct ownership, coordinating across multiple engineering and platform teams. Act as a central point of alignment for onboarding initiatives across Product, Engineering, Architecture, and Commercial teams.
- Demand Management & Prioritisation: Define structured intake and prioritisation frameworks for onboarding demand. Balance short-term integration needs with long-term platform scalability and strategic value.
- Data-Driven Optimisation: Define and track onboarding KPIs (e.g. time to integrate, cost per integration, reuse, developer satisfaction). Use data and insights to drive continuous improvement and transparency.
- Automation & AI Enablement: Identify opportunities to leverage automation and AI (including agentic AI approaches) to enhance onboarding and integration workflows. Drive initiatives that reduce manual effort, improve quality, and accelerate time-to-market.
- Experience in Product Management or Technical Product Management.
- Proven experience working on platforms, APIs, SDKs or integration-focused products & architectures.
- Experience operating in matrix environments.
- Understanding of microservices, event-driven systems, and data integration patterns.
- Experience designing scalable, reusable platform capabilities.
- Experience tracking onboarding KPIs (e.g. time to integrate, cost per integration, reuse, developer satisfaction).
- Understanding of AI and how to build AI capabilities into a platform at scale.
Benefits package includes: Great compensation package and discretionary bonus plan. Core benefits include pension, Bupa healthcare, sharesave scheme and more. 25 days annual leave with 8 bank holidays and 3 volunteering days. You can purchase additional annual leave.
