We are looking for a Domain Product Owner to work at the forefront of our exciting Eligibility and Decisioning Software domain within our Platform, Software and Analytics business. This is a fantastic opportunity for the right individual to work at the heart of one of Experian’s key strategic initiatives. You will lead a high‑performing and fast‑paced product owner team of 6–8 FTE that delivers innovative and market‑leading new products and features of the Eligibility and Decisioning Software product roadmap. Reporting into the Director of Eligibility and Decisioning Software, you will work closely with the domain Product Management, Engineering and Client Delivery leadership, lead the backlog of 8–10 Software Engineering teams and engage directly with our global software organisation to drive our AI cloud platform‑based technology transformation in the UK&I.
Main Responsibilities:
- Define and maintain the product vision and strategy for the assigned domain in alignment with Experian's corporate objectives.
- Deliver and manage the product roadmap, prioritising initiatives based on business value, customer needs, compliance requirements, and technical feasibility.
- Define, prioritise and maintain the total product backlog, ensuring it is up-to-date, delivered at pace and the development teams deliver high‑quality features that meet customer needs and our goals.
- Work with stakeholders across business units, including customers, sales teams, developers, and business leaders, to create and maintain a clear product vision and technology roadmap.
- Translate business needs into clear user stories and acceptance criteria for development teams, ensuring deliverables meet agreed standards and timelines.
- Monitor and measure product performance using data‑driven metrics, implementing improvements to maximize value and ROI.
- Ensure regulatory compliance (GDPR, Consumer Duty, etc.) and data governance best practices within the product suite.
- Lead backlog refinement and sprint planning activities, ensuring Agile principles and continuous improvement are embedded in the delivery process.
- Serve as the domain subject matter expert, staying current on industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies.
- Act as an escalation point for product‑related issues, ensuring swift resolution and minimal business impact.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Business, Computer Science, Data Science, or related field.
- Significant experience of senior product ownership, product management or technology delivery experience, ideally in the financial services, price comparison, eligibility or decisioning software or information services industry.
- Proven track record in Agile delivery environments (Scrum/Kanban) with deep understanding of product lifecycle management.
- Evidence of working on the delivery and commercialisation of new and existing cloud‑based products and services, ideally with AI experience.
- Strong understanding of regulatory and compliance frameworks relevant to credit and personal data.
- Evidence of managing full product lifecycle implementation.
