Job Description

We are looking for a Commercial Director to lead our GTM Eligibility Team and to develop and execute the strategy for Eligibility with Price Comparison Websites (PCWs) and Lenders. You will effectively manage the tri‑party relationships between Experian, PCWs and Lenders. You will develop the market strategy to promote Experian’s new eligibility capabilities and articulate advantages across all panel lenders and PCWs. The role will have responsibility for delivery of the revenue targets for Marketplace both from lenders and PCWs.

As the Commercial Director key deliverables will include:

  • Execution and optimisation of commercial strategies – notably to secure the marketplace business. The individual will be responsible for developing the specific commercial strategy for each major client engaging Economic Buyers client side and coordinating stakeholders across GTM, Pricing and the Business Unit.
  • Market‑Leading Lender Panels – Develop win/win partnerships with leading UK cards, loans and current account providers to maintain and grow the Experian Marketplace panel and deliver differentiated supply to our PCW customers.
  • PCW Traffic – Develop win/win partnerships with leading UK cards and loans PCWs to maximise traffic volumes available to the lender panel and account conversion.
  • Innovation – Shaping and championing Experian's innovation in market. Establishing client and industry opportunities / requirements / threats to inform future investment. Understanding substitutes and competitor value propositions and developing effective counter strategies.

The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, strong leader, highly numerate with experience of P&L management in a complex environment, as well as a passionate advocate for customer needs and market trends.

Qualifications

  • Market knowledge: Expert in financial price comparison and have the credibility to build sustainable relationships with Economic Buyers in both PCWs and lenders.
  • High credibility: Deep understanding of the market and client priorities/objectives providing credibility to engage and influence strategic decision‑makers.
  • Innovation evangelist – creates and articulates bold and ambitious propositions which will enable growth and enthuse the market and our teams – and stay ahead of the competition.
  • Commercial strategist – achieves objectives through the use of pricing, diverse commercial models and market assessments.
  • Experienced P&L manager – highly numerate and has experience of managing complexity.
  • Stakeholder management and people leadership – able to influence a senior audience across a complex matrix. Equally considered a strong People Leader who seeks out, develops, engages and retains the best talent.
