Job Description
The Group Risk Operational Risk Manager is an important role within the Operational Risk team which forms part of the wider Group Risk Function.
Reporting into our Global Head of Operational Risk, you will undertake operational risk business partnering arrangements with our Global business units and functions along with supporting the regions, cultivating relationships and networks ensuring rapid escalation of concerns/issues across the business.
Main Responsibilities
- Manage Group Operational Risk Policies (Loss Events, RCSA, Issues Management and Risk Acceptance) and reporting.
- Understand risks and efficiencies of AI and new technologies
- Develop targeted quality assurance on all Risk Management Framework data
- Lead on the requirements for risk system tooling changes and collaborate with the Archer Centre of Excellence in defining and implementing these changes
- Support the internal operational risk loss reporting process, ensuring that actual losses / near misses are reported accurately
- Provide technical assistance to the business concerning the Archer GRC risk system and help implement associated system processes
- Ensuring the business understand and are compliant with Operational Risk Policies, Standards and processes
- Lead on the development of training and awareness material
- Improve Operational risk data and insights
- Help produce RMC papers and Group Risk SLT updates
- Play an active part in ensuring Operational Risk practices remain in line with industry standard
- Maintain visibility of new and emerging operational risk processes
- Support the Archer Centre of Excellence team with changes to any Op risk modules (Risk assessment, issues management, risk acceptance)
Qualifications
- Experience of changing and building operating industry good practice Risk Management Frameworks
- Produce Executive level risk reports
- Apply technical knowledge in a practical manner
- Interpret analyse and articulate complex data and problems impactfully
- A technical background with an understanding of technology and AI
