Job Description

We are seeking an experienced

Account Director to manage and grow our portfolio of established Public Sector customers.

We're looking for individuals who have successfully managed Public Sector customers and have experience selling data, software, Saa S, consulting or managed services solutions into government organisations.

This is a strategic role focused on developing senior customer relationships, driving retention, identifying growth opportunities and expanding Experian's footprint across government organisations.

You will act as the trusted commercial lead for your accounts while bringing together expertise from across Experian's data, analytics, fraud, identity and software businesses to deliver innovative solutions that address complex public sector challenges.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Account Management
  • Own and manage a portfolio of Public Sector customers, serving as the primary commercial point of contact.
  • Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders across government organisations.
  • Develop and execute account plans that deliver retention, revenue growth and long-term customer value, understanding customer priorities, policy drivers and transformation objectives to identify new opportunities.
  • Account Growth & Business Development
  • Drive organic growth through upselling and cross-selling Experian's data, analytics, identity, fraud, decisioning and platform solutions.
  • Identify, qualify and develop opportunities that align to customer challenges and strategic objectives and create compelling value propositions and business cases to support customer investment decisions.
  • Maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities across your account portfolio.
  • Act as the central point of coordination across multiple business units.
  • Bring together specialists, pre-sales consultants, product teams and subject matter experts to develop integrated customer solutions and providea seamless and joined-up customer experience.
  • Lead virtual teams to ensure customers benefit from the full breadth of Experian's capabilities.
  • Public Sector Commercial Management
  • Support customers through Public Sector procurement processes and compliant routes to market.
  • Work with internal legal, commercial and finance teams to manage contract renewals, extensions and variations.
  • Navigate Public Sector buying frameworks and procurement requirements, ensuringall activity aligns with Experian governance, compliance and ethical standards.
  • Performance Management
  • Deliver against revenue, retention and growth targets.
  • Maintain accurate forecasting and pipeline reporting through CRM.
  • Monitor account performance and identify risks and opportunities proactively.

Qualifications

  • Extensive experience managing Public Sector customer accounts with demonstrable sales and account management experience.
  • Strong understanding of Public Sector buying processes and procurement environments.
  • Track record of retaining, growing and developing complex customer relationships.
  • Experience engaging and influencing senior stakeholders within public sector organisations.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple internal teams to deliver customer outcomes.
  • Strong commercial, negotiation and account planning skills.
  • Highly Desirable
  • Experience working for a system integrator selling software, Saa S, data, analytics, consulting or managed service solutions into public sector organisations.
  • Knowledge of procurement frameworks such as G-Cloud, DOS, Crown Commercial Services frameworks or other compliant routes to market.
  • Experience selling fraud prevention, identity verification, data, analytics or digital transformation solutions.
