We are looking for an experienced and strategic Developer Certification Programme Director to lead the delivery of our global developer enablement initiative for the Ascend Technology Platform. This role is critical to expanding our ecosystem by empowering partner developers to build solutions on the Ascend platform. You will shape the end-to-end certification strategy and platform enablement requirements — defining skill standards, creating learning paths, collaborating on developer tooling, and ensuring the smooth access to knowledge, support, and validation, and driving requirements into our platform and product teams to ensure that the primary technology components are ready for our "open-developer" strategy. This is a remote UK-based position reporting to the SVP Platform & Digital.

Main Responsibilities

  • Programme Ownership: Define and lead the global Ascend Developer Certification Programme, ensuring it aligns with platform capabilities, partner needs, and strategic goals.
  • Partner Enablement: Design and implement learning paths, in partnership with the L&D team, hands-on training, and support tools that allow partner developers to build, test, and launch solutions on the Ascend platform.
  • Certification Framework: Develop role-based certifications and technical assessments that validate partner developer skills.
  • Content Development: Oversee the creation of technical content, including curriculum, tutorials, documentation, and exam materials, in partnership with our teams and external experts.
  • Community & Evangelism: Cultivate a vibrant developer community through forums, events, and direct engagement. Be a promoter for developer experience across the partner ecosystem.
  • Leadership: Work with Product, Engineering, Customer Success, Marketing, and Partner Management teams to align certification efforts with platform evolution and partner strategy.
  • Technology enablement: Work with Product and Engineering to ensure that the technical proposition for partner developers meets industry expectations, whilst maintaining the highest standards of control and quality for Experian and its clients.
  • Metrics & Iteration: Define success metrics and evaluate programme effectiveness to improve engagement and effect.
  • Platform Advocacy: Serve as the voice of the partner developer—providing feedback to improve APIs, SDKs, documentation, and support services.

Qualifications

  • Experience in technical change management, transformation programs and delivery in the context of large-scale, mission-critical platforms.
  • Experience with software development workflows, tools, and platforms (APIs, SDKs, CI/CD).
  • Experience working with external partners, ISVs, or developer communities to build partner ecosystem propositions & create value for the enterprise.
  • Technically fluent, with delivery experience across change and run, whilst also commercially aware.
  • Talent for translating technical concepts into relevant learning experiences.
  • Familiarity with LMS platforms, certification tools, and content development best practices.

Why Join Us?

  • Be an important driver of ecosystem growth for a transformative technology platform.
  • Empower thousands of developers to create value through your programme.
  • Work with some of the brightest minds in platform engineering, education, and partner success.
  • Join a mission-driven company committed to developer success, partner collaboration, and long-term platform impact.

Additional Information
