We’re looking for a Senior Buyer to join our UK Procurement team on a fixed term basis. If you’re passionate about technology, data-driven decision-making, and delivering real commercial impact, this is your opportunity to make a difference.
Reporting into the Lead Procurement Manager, you will lead complex negotiations with Professional Services vendors across multiple departments, ensuring cost efficiency, compliance, and agreement on strategic goals. Combine analytical rigor, market intelligence, and technology-enabled procurement practices will be key to success. You will focus on managing relationships with vendors and negotiating to achieve the best possible outcomes for external resourcing activities like main integration or migration programmes.
What you’ll do:
- Lead sourcing for Professional Services from external providers to support business operations.
- Use analytics and market insights to improve value and negotiate contracts.
- Partner with departments, Finance and Legal to influence decisions.
- Build vendor relationships and monitor performance using Measurements.
- Stay ahead of tech trends and apply insights to procurement strategies.
- Ensure compliance with policies and regulations (GDPR, ISO 27001, NIS2).
Qualifications:
- Experience in procurement within financial services or regulated industries.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Tableau or similar).
- Hands-on experience in procurement platforms (SAP Ariba, Oracle EBS, IronClad) and familiarity with digital sourcing tools.
- Experience in contract negotiation, supplier management, and delivering commercial savings.
- Experience dealing with different pricing models and delivery frameworks that impact professional services engagements.
- Experience communicating insights using data visualization and storytelling techniques.
- CIPS qualification would be an added bonus.
