Reporting directly to the Internal Audit Director, the IT Internal Auditor meaningfully contributes in providing independent assurance over the design and effectiveness of internal controls within the UK&I, EMEA and APAC regions of Experian, and influencing changes to the control environment so that risk is managed more effectively. You will gain a tremendous insight into the Experian business, with high levels of exposure to senior management.

Qualifications

  • University degree with strong academics.
  • Experience of working in a multinational environment.
  • Exposure to the IT/technology sector.
  • IT Knowledge in relevant areas (e.g. data security; cloud computing; data loss prevention; software development methodologies; etc.)
  • Relevant professional qualifications (e.g. CISA; CISSP; ITIL; CISM) desirable.

Daily you can expect to be involved in the following:

  • Assist the assigned Audit Lead in developing the scope of internal audit reviews and agreeing them with management.
  • Participate in the planning internal audits across multiple departments, which includes assessing business, security and technology controls.
  • Attend and lead meetings with auditees to develop an understanding of business processes.
  • Document all testing steps and outcomes, including evidence, to help assess the controls testing process.
  • Prepare draft observations, reflecting the results of the work performed and support the Lead Auditor to agree findings and proposed actions with the appropriate business owners.
  • Perform follow-up on the status of outstanding internal audit issues, including validating evidence for closure.
  • Be an advocate for the concepts of internal control and risk throughout Experian.
  • Maintain a professional development plan to improve technical, interpersonal and other key skills consistent with Experian's requirements and talent management philosophy.
