Job Description
We\’re looking for a Senior User Researcher on a 12 month FTC basis to join our Experian Consumer Services (ECS) division of global data group Experian. We\’re responsible for the direct-to-consumer credit business, helping consumers take control of their financial health and support their journey through life\’s big moments.
You will help us to uncover the how, why, and when of customer needs, helping shape and validate solutions. You\’ll report into the Head of Product Marketing alongside our other researchers and insight managers, with a dotted reporting line into our Head of Design – this means that you\’ll work with other researchers to connect insights and ideas, and being embedded in the design roadmap.
What you\’ll do:
- Design, plan and conduct research to provide user-centred recommendations across a range of projects and product areas.
- Plan and run qualitative studies, including user interviews.
- Independently define research objectives and formulate research proposals.
- Analyse qualitative and quantitative data to create actionable insights and recommendations.
- Work with our other researchers to connect insights and ideas across multiple teams and projects.
- Collaborate with product, design, marketing and other teams to integrate user research findings into our product development process.
- Champion user-centred design principles and advocate for the needs and preferences of users.
- Raise the profile of the team by identifying and sharing insights and success stories, and helping other areas to understand value and contribution.
- Democratise research by creating templates and training that allow product managers, marketers and designers to run simpler research tasks independently.
- Help manage tools, building playbooks, and maintaining third-party relationships.
