We're looking for a Mid Weight Product Designer at Experian to turn ambiguous opportunities into clear experiences: shaping new propositions, validating them with real users, and iterating until they earn a place in people's financial lives. As a Product Designer at Experian, you will be part of a cross‑functional product team, or 'Domain'. You'll work with the Product Manager, Engineers and other team members to empathise with our users, balance their needs with business objectives, validate hypotheses and deliver and iterate on elegant solutions. Reporting to the Lead Product Designer, you will also be a member of our wider product design team, where you can share, learn and develop your craft with a group of collaborative designers. You will be comfortable across the full end to end of the design process - you'll have experience conducting research through to executing beautifully crafted UI.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct user research, and gather data to gain insights and validate assumptions, ensuring that designs meet user needs and preferences, and aligning to our business goals.
  • Create innovative product designs and rapid prototypes to test hypotheses and gather user feedback.
  • Work on both the web app and the native app, and learn the differences in behaviour across these platforms.
  • Navigate the constraints of tight and complex regulatory frameworks, while still keeping a user‑first mindset.
  • Iterate on designs based on experimental results and user feedback, striving for optimal solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including engineering, marketing, and commercial, to ensure successful product development and launch, and communicate design concepts, ideas and progress to internal stakeholders to gain agreement and support.
  • Be comfortable in writing UX copy and working with the content designer where necessary.
  • Keep up‑to‑date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in product design and innovation.
  • Experiment with existing and emerging AI tools and technologies and bring sound use cases of using AI in the design process.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Figma, prototyping tools such as Figma Make, Lovable or Cursor and user research methods.
  • Understanding of what drives user engagement and awareness of accessibility standards WCAG 2.2.
  • Design for and building successful native apps (iOS or Android) and responsive web designs.
  • Experience working with design systems.
  • Curious, and ask great questions to get to the real problems we are trying to solve.
  • Collaborative and love to share your craft, learn from your team and have a little fun along the way.

Additional Information – Benefits

  • Hybrid working – 40% office based.
  • Great compensation package and discretionary bonus.
  • Core benefits include Pension, Bupa healthcare, Sharesave Scheme and more.
  • 25 days annual leave with 8 bank holidays and 3 volunteering days. You can purchase additional annual leave.
