Experian's Global Network Engineering organization are looking for a Lead Network Engineer to provide subject matter expertise in support of the Experian Global Network which spans all business units and regions. This role will immediately contribute to several large global programs, including SD‑WAN, automation, and standards development across the estate. You will also work closely with the security, build, and operational teams to maintain a secure network infrastructure, adhering to stringent regulatory, governmental, and industry security control requirements.
Additionally, this role will help us establish an efficient, agile engineering team that continues to delight our customers by providing world‑class service. This is a Hybrid, London based position (60% in the office) reporting to the Sr Director for Endpoint Architecture.
- Manage the network and security systems within a global multi‑region, multi‑tenant cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP, & etc.) and on‑premises environment. Includes Checkpoint and Cisco FWs, Cisco switches/routers, F5 and Citrix Load Balancers, Fortinet Wireless networks, SSE Technologies (Netskope‑zScaler).
- Support Network and Systems Security, capacity planning and management, plan for disaster recovery, contingencies and business continuity.
- Provide network design, implementation strategies, migration plans and technical project support for medium to high complexity projects.
- Convey technical information/solutions to different audiences using whiteboards, presentations, or written communications in a workshop format.
- Consult, assess, or audit, design, and interview stakeholders to resolve highly technical requirements.
- Research, evaluate and stay ahead of the curve on emerging tools, techniques, and technologies.
- Establish yourself as a mentor and train other staff on your areas of expertise and approach every day with a collaborative and 'team' focused mentality.
- Develop and implement device configuration standards, and policies and procedures that provide world‑class support to our business and clients.
Qualifications
- Wireless: Hands‑on with full Fortinet Wi‑Fi stack (FortiManager, FortiGate, FortiNAC, FortiSwitch, FortiAIOps). Expert in enterprise wireless design (FortiAP, Cisco Catalyst/Meraki) including RF, roaming protocols, and high‑density deployments.
- Core Networking: Expert in L2/L3 protocols (BGP, OSPF, VLANs, STP) and WAN/SD‑WAN technologies. Hands‑on with QoS, MPLS‑VPN, and traffic management. Cisco CCNP certified or equivalent skill level.
- Security & Cloud: Manage Checkpoint Firewalls, IPS, and Citrix load balancers. Deploy and manage SSE/SASE platforms (Zscaler ZIA/ZPA, Netskope) with Zero Trust principles. Working knowledge of cloud networking.
- Automation & Tooling: Scripting/automation in Terraform, Ansible, Python, or Power BI. Experience with network analyzers and management tools.
