The EMAP Senior Operational Risk Manager is an important role within the Operational Risk team which forms part of the wider Group Risk Team. Reporting to the Global Head of Operational Risk you will undertake operational risk business partnering arrangements with the EMAP region.

What you\'ll do:

  • Lead the maturity of RCSA processes and ensure accurate risk reporting.
  • Complete quality assurance on Risk Management Framework data.
  • Support the Senior Risk Team in delivering broader risk goals.
  • Guide EMAP colleagues on issue management, loss event reporting, and risk acceptance.
  • Ensure accurate reporting of operational risk losses and near misses.
  • Provide technical support for the Archer GRC system and collaborate with the Centre of Excellence on tooling changes.
  • Deliver enterprise and operational risk training and awareness across the region.
  • Lead risk oversight for mergers and acquisitions across the region.
  • Manage EMAP Risk Management Committee planning, agenda setting, and reporting.
  • Support Annual Attestation and Control Self Assessment processes.
  • Lead new risk identification, horizon scanning, and scenario planning.
  • Ensure business understanding and compliance with Enterprise Risk Standards (fraud, operational risk, third parties, technology).
  • Maintain visibility of emerging operational risk processes and related regulations.
  • Share best practices and help maintain industry-aligned risk practices.

Experience and Skills

  • 5+ years\' experience of operational risk in a second line of defence capacity
  • Experience changing and building or operating industry good practice Risk Management Frameworks
  • Ability to interface with senior stakeholders effectively to establish relationships and become a trusted advisor.
  • Ability to produce Executive level risk reports
  • An ability to apply technical knowledge in a practical and balanced manner
  • Able to challenge constructively and professionally
  • Stakeholder management
  • Ability to interpret analyse and articulate complex data and problems impactfully
  • Understanding of working across cultures
