This is a senior strategic leadership role responsible for shaping the product, market and partnership agenda for EDQ in the UK&I region. The role acts as a primary bridge between regional business priorities of other BU’s, global product strategy and the external market. As a recognised authority in Data Intelligence technologies, this individual will set direction rather than simply execute, influencing senior stakeholders across EDQ and representing the business credibly at the highest levels with customers, partners, Experian executive leadership and industry bodies.

The role requires deep commercial judgement, strong external presence and the ability to translate market insight into actionable product and investment priorities. It is expected to play a critical role in opening new markets, shaping strategic partnerships and ensuring EDQ is positioned as a leader in its field by the major industry analysts.

Key responsibilities

  • Set and articulate the UK&I product and market strategy, aligned with EDQ’s global vision and long-term growth objectives.
  • Act as the senior UK&I voice into Global Product Management, influencing portfolio direction, investment priorities and roadmap decisions.
  • Establish and maintain a deep understanding of the most important trends impacting data quality, data governance, AI-driven analytics and regulatory change.
  • Represent EDQ at major industry events, conferences, analyst briefings and customer forums as a recognised thought leader.
  • Build and maintain senior-level relationships with strategic customers, partners and data suppliers to identify new opportunities and co-innovation initiatives.
  • Shape and sponsor innovation initiatives, moving ideas from concept to validated business cases and into global delivery frameworks.
  • Set the agenda for UK&I-sponsored product developments, ensuring strong commercial rationale, customer validation and measurable outcomes.
  • Provide executive-level insight and guidance to sales, propositions, marketing and consulting teams on market.
  • Oversee UK&I product lifecycle considerations, including investment, enhancement and end-of-life decisions, in partnership with global teams.

Experience and Skills

  • Extensive experience (typically 10+ years) in senior product, strategy or market leadership roles within technology or data-driven businesses.
  • Proven track record of influencing product direction and investment decisions at executive and board level.
  • Deep expertise in data intelligence, analytics or adjacent domains, with strong understanding of the future role of AI, cloud and modern data architectures.
  • Demonstrated ability to act as a visible industry representative and trusted advisor to senior customers and partners.
  • Experience shaping and entering new markets, building partnerships and identifying growth opportunities beyond core offerings.
  • Exceptional communication, storytelling and influencing skills, able to operate with authority across highly complex matrix organisations.
  • Demonstrated customer focus, understanding client and customer needs, market trends and competitive dynamics.
  • Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to balance long-term strategic vision against short-term business priorities.
  • Evidence of innovation leadership, moving beyond functional delivery into agenda-setting and transformation roles.
  • Credibility, gravitas and personal presence appropriate for senior internal and external engagement.
