Role Overview
The AI & Automation Centre of Expertise (GenAI CoE) at Experian helps teams across Experian's UK business. It improves products using Generative AI, machine learning, and automation. The centre has a focus on responsible, measurable impact. This is a hybrid role reporting into the Head of Automation for someone who enjoys both shaping ideas and bringing them to life.
You'll work across two connected areas:
- Opportunity discovery and product ownership: identifying, refining, and validating AI and automation use cases
- Prototyping and technical scoping: building and testing solutions using low-code tools and latest technologies
An important part of your role is the ability to switch between focusing on pipeline and opportunity shaping, into hands-on delivery to remove bottlenecks and accelerate progress.
Who are we looking for?
Someone who is:
- Comfortable working with early-stage, ambiguous ideas and turning them into structured opportunities
- Hands-on and curious, with an interest in testing and building solutions quickly
- Motivated by learning—new AI capabilities and low-code tools as they emerge
You will connect needs, data, and technology to make better decisions. A big part of the job is choosing the right approach — when AI is valuable, and when simpler analytics or Automation is the better answer. This is not a pure developer role, and not a traditional product owner role. It sits between both—focused on turning ideas into tangible outcomes.
What you'll do
- Work with partners to translate business problems into clearly defined user cases
- Build and manage a pipeline of AI and automation opportunities
- Assess feasibility, value and suitability of AI vs traditional approaches
- Scope solutions, defining MVP, success criteria and experimentation approaches
- Develop rapid prototypes and MVPs using low-code / no-code platforms
- Communicate outcomes, including trade-offs, risks, and recommendations
- Explore and apply new tools to improve how we deliver
Experience and Skills
- Experience in a product, digital, or technical role where you have shaped and delivered solutions
- Experience communicating product benefits appropriate for each prospect, with experience working across business and technical partners
- You will have experience translating business problems into structured use cases and deliverable solutions
- Comfortable working in uncertain or exploratory environments, using experimentation to guide progress
- A curiosity for AI and automation, and an interest in how they are applied in real-world settings
It would be great if you also have:
- Exposure to AI use cases such as generative AI, classification, or workflow automation
- Experience running experiments, pilots, or MVP-style delivery
- Experience with low-code / no-code platforms
- Experience explaining technical concepts or analysis to non-technical partners
